Visiting Barnsley and the Area

This former mining town in South Yorkshire is pretty much half-way between Sheffield to the south and Leeds to the north along the M1. The town is ideally located for a trip to the Peak District, which lies just to the west. And when you're not out walking the peaks, Barnsley Market is famous in the area for its over 300 stalls selling everything from local food produce, to fabric and cosmetics.
